I think the handle has been replaced as it looks cleaner than the other wood, the blade has a couple of little chips in it so could use a little bit of grinding, I would have done this but don't have the tool to do the job justice. The handle is a softer wood and looks to have a single wood worm hole in it, so for this reason I've treated the whole thing with poison.
